- Killer nanny Yoselyn Ortega, 55, stabbed Lulu, six, and Leo Krim, two, to death
- Their butchered bodies were found in their Upper West Side NYC apartment
- Ortega is on trial for their shocking October 2012 but is pleading insanity
- Days before, she got her affairs in order which looked like premeditation
- But her psychiatrist said Ortega did things like that even when not psychotic
Days before she stabbed two small children in her care to death, killer nanny Yoselyn Ortega was getting her affairs in order.
She put her precious heirlooms in bags, gave her passport, health insurance and driver's license to her sister, and sent her son to stay with relatives.
Prosecutors in her murder trial argue this showed premeditation that destroys her insanity defense for the grisly murders of Lulu, six, and Leo Krim, two.

The children were butchered in their luxury home on New York's Upper West Side in October 2012 before Ortega slashed her own throat but survived.
However, her psychiatrist Karen Rosenbaum, giving testimony for the defense, said the 55-year-old was prone to such actions and they didn't show early intent to kill.
'I can see how you would reach that conclusion with somebody who was intent to kill, but this defendant does things like that even when she's not psychotic,' she told the court, according to the New York Daily News.
Dr Rosenbaum was on the stand for a third day as District Attorney Stuart Silberg tried to cast doubt on her insanity diagnosis.

Ortega's defence argues she was too mentally ill to know what she was doing when she stabbed Lulu and Leo to death.
The psychiatrist earlier testified that Ortega told her while shackled in hospital days after the killings that Satan told her to stab them and then herself.
'She finally told me, several interviews in, that the voices told her to kill people, that they told her to kill herself, and eventually that they told her to kill the children,' the psychiatrist told the court on Tuesday, New York Daily reported.
'I felt like the devil was possessing me, wanting me to be his,' Rosenbaum testified that Ortega had told her, according to the New York Post. 'That the devil wanted me for himself.
'When the devil overtakes her, she has no choice in the matter,' the psychiatrist (pictured) noted
Ortega had also told her therapist, before the killings, that she felt the devil was 'starting to overtake her (and) it was significantly worse.'
The possession was 'getting stronger in the week prior' to the murders, the nanny had told Rosenbaum.
'When the devil overtakes her, she has no choice in the matter,' the psychiatrist had noted.
If convicted, she will face the rest of her life in jail. If found not guilty by reason of insanity, she will be sent to a psychiatric hospital.
Her psychiatrist's testimony is expected to continue on Thursday.
A neighbor of the two children also reacted furiously to claims the defendant was insane.
