The Mount Sinai Hospital, the flagship hospital of Mount Sinai Health System, was listed among the nation’s top hospitals for care excellence in U.S. News and World Report, marking the fifth straight year the hospital has been listed among the top 20 in the country while landing on the distinctive “Honor Roll” list.
In this year’s report, Mount Sinai’s Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine earned the No. 1 spot in the nation in geriatrics and among the nation’s elite hospitals in five specialties: Cardiology/Heart Surgery (No. 6); Gastroenterology/GI Surgery (No. 9); Diabetes/Endocrinology (No. 11); Nephrology (No. 12); and Neurology/Neurosurgery (No. 12).
